SOLO SHOW NOVEMBER 18th 2011
Naomi Clements-Wright will be staging an exhibition of her new works at the Fairhurst Gallery in Norwich, UK, from November 18 - December 2.
The show will incorporate still life and life study paintings, which have always formed the core of her art, but will mainly focus on her radical new foray into the world of domestic interiors, inspired by the Dutch and Danish masters such as de Hooch, Vermeer, Hammershoi and Kobke.
Naomi has been painting professionally since she graduated in Fine Art from Newcastle University in 1986. In the first few years she worked as a newspaper designer as well. At Today newspaper she met her husband, the writer Rory Clements.
Her work has been displayed at Royal Academy Summer Show, Royal Society of Portrait Painters, New English Art Club, Discerning Eye and BP Portrait Award. The births of her children, in 1999 and 2001 caused a slight interruption to her work, but also added another dimension. She now lives in rural Norfolk, England
